It brings comfort, safety, and love in times when you are overwhelmed. You can trust blankets, soft like a mother’s touch to comfort the soul and protect you from monsters. On days that you’re cold you can count on warm things made with love to keep your heart happy.

Hugs are warm, charged with love (give one, take one).
Tea calms the mind (drink some, share some).
Fire is misunderstood (understand it, tend to it).
Sweaters are for cold winds that harm you (stay protected).

A quote from Two or Three Things I Know About Her (1967).

dscn2401

The window to a soul, a house filled with treasure chests locked with thoughts and experiences. Stare long enough and you get obsessed with what is locked inside. Eyes scare me, but for some reason, I can not stop looking at them. There is a whole life behind them and that is pretty intimidating, it can overwhelm you.

dscn2405

Eye contact improves the connection, the conversation and, your relationship with a person. Eventually, you will be able to communicate with your eyes, searching through the chests and seeing their experiences with your own eyes.

dscn2375

I have always been fascinated with others eyes and not much my own, there is not really much to them that I can see. I am already inside the house and there is no sense in looking inside the chests if I know what is already in it.

I like the idea of thinking that we are cameras filming out own stories. With an abundance of memory that we are able to playback for anyone to watch.

In their eyes
The truth arise
And
Only to realize
There are no lies
And
That when the sunrise
You have no disguise

dscn2252Over the weekend I got a good look at the stars and I was able to notice how they mimic the structure of our brains. I have come to the conclusion that we are a manifestation of the universe on a smaller scale. The universe is within us and we are within it. Yes, we are small but, “how big we are is not what determines if we matter or not”(G). Something a friend said that made me think. “Existence is everyone’s agreement of what is there”(C). Collectively we have confirmed that we exist.

While looking at the stars I shed tears at the beauty of it all. I’m a proud wanderer exploring the narrative of the universe. Cursed to never see it all, but we tend to expect a lot from our lives. Short life? Long life?  Time is stupid. I want to do a whole bunch, but there is not a lot of me.

The darkness is a blank canvas and we are just being thrown against it. “We are the combined effort of everyone we know”(G). We are always learning. “Learning is awkward and that is fine”(A). We are always going somewhere, we always have a task, “but what is it? And how do we know we are there when and if we get there?”(G).

And who is missing?

Found this wandering through the Hadwen Arboretum

The thing about being a wanderer is that on your travels you impact lives. It’s great when that happens, but you’re a wanderer, you keep moving forward from one place to the next. They want you to stay, but you can’t. Leaving them confused. Some, but not all understand. Rather than holding on to the memories you create they want to hold on to you.
